It’s giveaway time!

My dear friend, Denise, was so gracious to take the time to review these burp cloths that My Brest Friend gave me.  I would have done it, but honestly, my toddler doesn’t puke as often as her baby.  Read the review, and enter the contest by following the instructions at the end of the post.  May the person who needs burp cloths the most, win! ;)

My friend Lindsey of Mother Rising Birth Services gave me a set of My Brest Friend Extra Large Burp Cloths to try out on my 3-month-old Lizzie. Lizzie spits up when she gets excited, when she’s upset, when you lay her down, when you stand her up, and when you sit her up. That’s a lot of spitting up, so I go through a lot of burp cloths. Here is what I liked about these burp cloths from My Brest Friend:

  • Super absorbent
  • Super soft
  • Large size (they aren’t kidding, they really are extra large!)
  • Versatile

These My Brest Friend burp cloths are very, very absorbent and I found that one would last all day and still not feel wet. There’s nothing worse than wiping up after your baby and then tossing the cloth back in your diaper bag, and then it gets other things in there all yucky. Well, I guess things getting yucky from a dirty diaper in your bag would be worse, but I digress.

The burp cloths really are huge and have a lovely colorful pattern. The set I received was the mixed colors, which has a black, a blue-ish, and a coral-ish cloth. I noticed on their website they also carry a set of pink and a set of the blue. The cloths have two really soft layers. One layer is an absorbent terry-cloth and on the other side is a super soft cotton knit. The cloths really are big but I didn’t notice having trouble getting them to fit in my diaper bag, so they aren’t obnoxiously large.

I think what I like best about these burp cloths, besides their absorbency, is that I see them as being very versatile. They are big enough to be used as a towel, so I can throw it in the beach bag and use it on Lizzie when we go swimming. I also imagine it could be used as a cloth diaper in a pinch, with a cover of course or stuffed into a pocket. Or you could even use it as a hand towel in your bathroom. Since the pattern is not baby-themed I see these burp cloths getting a lot of use down the road, which makes their $19.95 price tag much more palatable. And I noticed My Brest Friend is offering a 20% off promo code Jan2012, so now would be a great time to pick up a set.
