I am blessed to teach Birthing From Within Tallahassee childbirth classes at our local birth center, The Birth Cottage, which is located at 260 East Sixth Avenue, Tallahassee, FL. I have been teaching since 2010 after I had my introductory Birthing From Within workshop at The Farm. Since then I have taken an advanced Birthing From Within training that was held at Bend of Ivy Lodge near Asheville, NC. In 2011 I, along with the Tallahassee Doula Co-Op (which I am the president of) hosted Gail Tully of Spinning Babies to teach an Optimal Fetal Positioning workshop to our birth community. In March 2012 I hosted a placenta encapsulation workshop. All these trainings, coupled with my experience as a mother and doula have given me the ability to mentor couples as they transition to a new life. Thankfully, I never stop learning as each class and parent that participates teaches ME about birth, life, and childbirth preparation.
