Natural DIY Exfoliating Facial Cleanser Recipe

Mother Rising’s natural DIY exfoliating facial cleanser is perfect for daily use with normal to dry skin. This facial cleanser is incredibly easy to make, with only four ingredients that all can be found at the grocery store (or maybe even your pantry!).

Trouble with Natural Remedies

Sometimes when making natural home remedies, the results can be subpar. For example, I have had a few friends make their own mascara and let’s just say, they’re better off not wearing mascara at all if that’s what it’s going to look like. Or sometimes it takes hours upon hours to create at home what would cost $1 in the store. What a waste of time!

But we keep making these natural, home remedies because they are a healthier and safer alternative to store bought products. Mother Rising’s herbal remedies for pregnancy anemia, elderberry syrup, and copycat Aveda Tea recipe are great examples!

Store bought products need to have a shelf life, and along with that comes additional chemicals and preservatives that I like to avoid. I know I can’t eliminate all of these things from my life, but if I can easily make something on my own that works well and doesn’t require too much of my time – I am here for it!

Natural DIY Exfoliating Facial Cleanser

After taking a botanical facial care class, I formulated an amazing exfoliating facial cleanser recipe I am so excited to share with you.

Works So Well!

Mother Rising’s natural DIY exfoliating facial cleanser is amazing! And when I say amazing, I literally mean amazing. This is the best exfoliating facial cleanser I have ever used. I refuse to buy store bought facial cleansers again because honestly, I prefer mine. I consider that a huge win!

Fast and Easy!

But that’s not all – this facial cleanser only takes just a few minutes to make. Your time will be spent measuring ingredients and mixing them together with a spoon. It’s so easy!

4 Simple Ingredients!

The best part of this facial cleanser recipe is that all FOUR of its ingredients can be found at a grocery store or health food store. Even if you don’t have access to a nicer grocery store like Whole Foods, you can absolutely get these things online. It’s that simple!

Sounds awesome! I've tried some cleansers like that. If I still lived the hot humid sticky sweaty south, that would probably be great for me, but the only thing that my hyper sensitive skin can handle in this northern weather is straight sunflower oil. I rub it in and rub it off with a warm washcloth. Softening, moisturizing and exfoliating in one. Then if it's dry I use jojoba oil to moisturize. A few days a week I just use warm water to wash my face. When I started doing this my skin cleared up for the first time in my life. I don't use any soap on my face ever and my skin is so much healthier and less red and irritated. Isn't it wonderful to discover these natural things that help us instead of causing more problems? I may make this for stocking stuffer gifts for the other side!

Yeah I'm thinking you could easily swap ingredients in and out of this recipe.

I need to buy some jojoba oil ASAP for my face. I can't wait!

And YES! I feel so empowered making my own health and beauty products. ♥
